Answers

You always see where the answer comes from.

Every answer is labelled. And under the answer it says when to get help, with a button for 112 when it matters.

  • From the handbookThe answer is based on an article in the handbook.
  • From the AI model’s own knowledgeThe handbook doesn’t cover it. Then it says it may be wrong.
  • I don’t know for sureBetter that than a guess.
  • TranslatedAsk in another language and the answer comes in that language, translated from the Swedish handbook.

Answers can also be read aloud.

Questions and answers

Do I need the internet?

Only at the start, when you download the app and get the AI package and maps. The introduction waits for wifi for you. After that everything works without coverage.

Which phones work?

The handbook, the map and the tools work on every iPhone with iOS 18 and on Android 10 or later. The AI assistant is on iPhone 15 Pro or later and on Android phones with at least 6 GB of memory.

How much space does it take?

The handbook is small and included. The AI assistant is 3 or 5 GB on iPhone depending on the model, and 2.6 or 3.7 GB on Android depending on how much memory the phone has. Maps and encyclopedia are optional, and you see the size before you download.

What does it cost?

The app is free to download. You buy the AI assistant once in the app, if your phone can run it. No subscription.

Can I ask in other languages?

Yes, for example in English, Arabic or Ukrainian. The answer comes in the same language, translated from the Swedish handbook, and is labelled as such.

Does it replace 112 or 1177?

No. If you can reach them, call them. WhenOffline gives you advice when you can’t.

Where does the advice come from?

The handbook is based on information from Swedish authorities and healthcare providers. Every answer is labelled: from the handbook, from the AI model’s own knowledge, or I don’t know for sure.

If you can reach 112: always call first. WhenOffline is for when you can’t.
